I am one of those people who enter's a giveaway and I always say in the back of my mind 'I know I won't win, but it's worth a try' so when I got an email from Laura at LovedByLaura saying I had won her giveaway I honestly couldn't believe it, I even had to read the email twice.
Laura was giving away two tickets to Visit Levi Roots Smokehouse and take a cooking masterclass with him, I have to say this was one of the best days out I have had in a long while and I truly recommend you doing it.
So to start off the day I had to get up at 2:00am as we had to get the coach at 4:25am this is because the class started at 9:30am and there was no other way to get to London for that time (I know dedication!).
We get to London and it's cold and raining so my hair turned into a frizzy wet mess, which is just perfect when you need to take blog photos (Bloggers feel my pain) we then decided to go to Mcdonalds for breakfast as Jonathan (The Boyfriend) was very miserable as he was tired and needed food and caffeine!

We then caught the tube to Stratford which took about 15-20 minutes, we then went for a walk and ended up back in Mcdonalds as we had time to waste before our cooking class so Jonathan ordered another cappuccino and I had an Oasis.
After nearly getting lost because google maps decided to take us on a wild goose chase we finally found the Restaurant and started off the class with an introduction to what we were going to do and a lovely cup of tea.
The restaurant was designed amazingly, there were records and art on the walls and there were also retro style booths to sit at, I could really tell Levi was trying to bring his upbringing and home country in to the design.
Levi taught us how to cook recipe's that were actually on the Restaurants menu, we learnt how to make a marinated chicken and Jamaican Curry goat also he showed us how to skin a mango with just a glass, he also showed us how to make dumplings that were made with cinnamon and sugar called festivals, making festivals with his grandma when he was just a child was one of the reasons he became very fond of cooking.
After watching him cook for us, we then got to eat the food he had made (after it was cooked obviously).
The food tasted amazing and I could of eaten so much more than I did but I wanted to be polite and not make myself look like a pig, what is also great is they offer vegetarian and gluten free meal options so the restaurant caters for nearly everyone (as long as you like Caribbean food).
Before we left Levi signed a recipe book that I bought from the restaurant and we had a really nice chat with him, he is really kind and real and totally hasn't let the fact that he won Dragon's Den or owns a restaurant get to his head.
We finished at the restaurant at about 11:55am so we ran a little bit late as the class was mean't to end at 11:30 but I could of spent all day in there if we hadn't of had other plans.
I then had the utter most pleasure of meeting fellow blogger Angie who writes the blog Silk And Sapphire, me and Angie had been talking on twitter for around 3 weeks when I mentioned I was going to be in London on the 9th of April, I thought this would be a great opportunity to meet Angie as she lives in London and I don't get the opportunity to visit the city very often.
Me and Jonathan met Angie and her Boyfriend in Stratford and went to Costa for Coffee where we had a great chat about the cooking class and blogging, before we realised it time had flew by and we had to start heading back to Victoria to catch out coach home, we luckily got back to the coach station just in time to catch our 2:00pm coach back to Gloucestershire.
I got home around 6:00pm and was absolutely shattered but I had the most wonderful day and the early start and walking around in wedges may I add was totally all worth it.
A big thank you to Laura at LovedByLaura for the amazing experience, don't be put off from entering giveaways because you never know you might win!
